Meet the Team!

A few months ago we posted a blog interviewing our wonderful social media and content manager, Janet, for International Women's Day - in case you missed it, the blog can be found here! It is one of our favourite blog posts to date, so we thought, why not introduce you all to the rest of the The Cheeky Panda embarrassment (which is a group of pandas by the way!). 

So without further ado, meet our next guest, Tom Christie, our Amazon Manager! 

How do you make an impact at The Cheeky Panda?

My role encompasses managing The Cheeky Panda products across all our Amazon marketplaces. In the UK, EU, and the US. Optimising our product listings on those marketplaces, managing advertising campaigns and carrying out new and existing product development.

What do you enjoy most about your role?

I enjoy the continual progress and improvements being made in eCommerce every day. Not too long ago you would order something online, and it would take 5 working days to arrive. Now, you can get your toilet roll the same day in some cases! Still no drone delivery though, that one hasn’t materialised yet.

How do you think brands can be more sustainable?

I’m a big believer in fulfilment efficiency. Working with couriers to maximise the space taken on their trucks, by packaging our products in an efficient manner. This can greatly reduce emissions and is generally a very simple action to take. Nothing makes me angrier than receiving a small product in an unnecessarily large box with loads of void fill.

What do you look forward to achieving with The Cheeky Panda in the future?

Now that’s a bit of a secret, we can’t let our competitors know what plans we have in the pipeline! In essence I look forward to serving both the interests of customers and the planet. Balancing customer savings with carbon savings and creating the harmony we all need.
