Cheeky Panda’s white and natural colour bamboo toilet tissues both start from the same soft bamboo fibres, but the difference lies in the finishing process.
Our Natural Soft rolls, often referred to in the market as unbleached toilet rolls, go through a simple wash that gently cleans the fibres without using harsh chemicals, leaving them with their natural beige tone.
By contrast, our white toilet rolls undergo an additional stage called Elemental Chlorine-Free (ECF) bleaching, which uses oxygen-based compounds rather than chlorine gas to whiten the fibres.
This creates the crisp white look that many people are familiar with while reducing the amount of chemicals required compared to traditional bleaching.
In short, the natural rolls are 'unbleached' and bamboo in their most authentic form, while the white rolls are bamboo with an extra polish — both equally soft and safe.

Roll size is deceiving
"Some weeks ago I ordered the pack of 12 rolls for a trial, as I was very keen on trying this toilet paper. We liked the quality of it and the size, so I decided to subscribe to get them every 3 months, but when I received the 45 rolls last week I got very disappointed as the size of these rolls is massively smaller than the first batch of rolls I received on the trial. I find this very deceiving and it is making me rethink about the subscription. I am attaching a picture of the difference in size."

Different to other bamboo rolls - not necessarily a bad thing.
"The quality is good and texture much nicer than it looks on a screen. Compared to other bamboo rolls: The rolls are smaller than I expected but the sheets are dense so perhaps I will use less each time. It doesn’t always flush away first time so might end up generating more flushes and use more water than other bamboo loo rolls. I’d rather not have to flush for every wee but I think this might require it. Definitely worth trying and maybe I’ll be converted over time - I have a box full :)"

Shame about extra packaging
"I swapped from WGAC to reduce packaging, last time I ordered it was a box with rolls incide, no individual wrapping, but on this latest Cheeky Panda order was disappointed that each 9 rolls were wrapped in thick paper. Uneccessary (in my view)."

- Why have you reduced the pack size from 48 to 45? This is underhand shrinkflation. £36 for fewer rolls. Feeding inflation
- Hey Link! Thank you for your question! We have both 45 and 48 available for our Naturally Coloured :) We offer these two options, as one is unwrapped and the other is wrapped (5 packs of 9). We know everyone has different storage space in their homes and may prefer the wrapped to the unwrapped for this reason!
