What everyone wants to know (but is too polite to ask)
Our Natural Soft rolls, often referred to in the market as unbleached toilet rolls, go through a simple wash that gently cleans the fibres without using harsh chemicals, leaving them with their natural beige tone.
By contrast, our white toilet rolls undergo an additional stage called Elemental Chlorine-Free (ECF) bleaching, which uses oxygen-based compounds rather than chlorine gas to whiten the fibres.
This creates the crisp white look that many people are familiar with while minimising environmental impact compared to traditional chlorine bleaching.
In short, the natural rolls are 'unbleached' and bamboo in their most authentic form, while the white rolls are bamboo with an extra polish — both equally soft and safe.
