Why she loves The Cheeky Panda!
With India and her future to think about, the threat of climate change feels more urgent than ever, and I certainly worry about how the planet will be affected within India and her children’s lifetimes. As parents, we have a responsibility to educate our children on sustainability, so that they grow up knowing how they can be less wasteful. The only way India will learn is by seeing the changes that I try to make in our house.
With all of this in mind, I’ve definitely become much more aware of how much we waste. As a household it’s easy to produce a lot of waste, especially single use plastics, and particularly with children, as things like their toys tend to use so much packaging – that’s why I’ve made the move towards products that use recyclable packaging, or steer clear of single use plastics. The Cheeky Panda is one of my go-to brands for this, as their wipes come in recyclable plastic packaging, and many of their other products, including toilet paper, kitchen towel and tissues, are in plastic-free packaging.
There is definitely an overwhelming amount of information out there when it comes to living sustainably, a lot of it confusing and misleading, and it can be tricky to know which brands and products are helping rather than harming the environment. The Cheeky Panda is a really important brand in this sense, with its simple and clear message of natural bamboo products that are far more sustainable than traditional wipes and tissues, as bamboo grows 30 times faster than other trees – I know exactly what I’m buying when it comes to what’s in my products, and they’re easy swaps to make for essential items. My go-to product is the brand’s baby wipes, especially since learning that 90% of wet wipes contain plastic; with The Cheeky Panda’s wipes, I can rest assured that they’re made from 100% bamboo.
The Cheeky Panda’s baby wipes are my hero product at meal times – this is a messy time for any parent, and it gives me peace of mind to know I’m not contributing to fatbergs or water pollution, or impacting the environment negatively when I use them.
